EasyJet will open a base at Venice Marco Polo Airport starting from April 2016.
Since the early months of 2016 passengers departing from Venice can choose from 25 destinations, a greater number of options daily and especially new flights in the early morning dedicated to business traffic, to travel by day to the main Italian cities and European.
New destinations will be gradually operational by February and full capacity with the summer holidays.
Since February, you will fly to Edinburgh and Prague and from March will be able to fly in the day to Paris, Naples and Berlin, in addition to London, already connected with flights early in the morning. The investment as a whole will increase to 45% the number of weekly flights, while some destinations will focus on the growth of the daily flights: Paris to 6 daily flights between the two airports Charles de Gaulle and Orly, London, up to 6 flights a day to the three airports of Gatwick, Luton and Southend, Naples Capodichino up to 4 flights per day and Berlin Schoenefeld with two flights a day.
Dates back to 1998, the first flight of easyJet, Venice-London, which was followed by a steady growth of the flights that has enabled more than 11 million people to fly from Venice to all major Italian and European destinations at affordable prices.

The airline has increased the number of passengers carried by an average rate of 15% per year over the last five years. easyJet currently flies to Venice from 15 primary airports across Europe – such as London Gatwick, Amsterdam and Paris Charles de Gaulle – and is the largest airline at Marco Polo Airport.
As well as being a world famous tourist destination the region is Italy’s third largest economy and 28% of easyJet’s 1.6 million passengers on flights to and from Venice are travelling on business.
This will be further enhanced when aircraft are based at the airport as business travellers will be able to benefit from early morning departures.
